Our world is changing rapidly and amidst all the development, we are now combating numerous issues that affect us all. In the future, many of these issues will have to be handled and solved by today’s children. To help develop and foster the ability to understand issues, from different perspectives and come up with a plan to mitigate the situation, Cambridge Global Perspectives was conceived of and introduced by CAIE. The subject provides opportunities for enquiry into and reflection on key global issues from different perspectives: personal, local/national and global.
Global Perspectives encourages awareness of global problems and offers a range of opportunities to explore solutions through cooperation and collaboration. The course seeks to open minds to the complexity of the world and of human thought and encourages empathy for the diversity of human experience and feeling, while including the well-being of other living creatures within the framework of the solution.
