The mind of a young artist has the imagination of a wild horse. It runs towards the unknown with curiosity, drenched in creative juices and urging one to express what it encounters in thoughts, feelings and emotions. What differentiates a great artist from a conventional one is their approach to art.
Given the right atmosphere, the artist feels empowered and confident. This is where Kāsiga steps in with its guidance, encouragement and infrastructure that helps students to communicate fearlessly through art. Kāsiga has always supported students to find their voice through the medium most suitable to them. We believe there is nothing more transformative in this world than art. There are various art forms like music, dance, painting, sculpture, theatre, writing and much more and Kāsiga facilitates the budding artists with the best resources for each of these.
Dance
Kāsiga has had an impressive display of different dance forms. Proficient Odissi and Kathak dance teachers embed in students, the grace and rhythm to enhance their capacity to express themselves.
Music
Kāsiga offers guidance to students who like to express through various musical instruments. Learning instruments early in life gives them a head start to chase their dreams. Many instruments like drums, guitar, sitar, tabla, flute and ukulele are taught at Kāsiga. Vocals for Indian as well as Western music are also polished at Kāsiga.
Visual art
Young artists who like to express themselves visually also find themselves surrounded with plenty of choices. Painting, pottery, clay modelling, wall painting, papercraft, bamboo craft and sculpture classes are provided for the blossoming artists at Kāsiga.
With the world moving at a fast pace in every direction, art has become bigger than ever. As their guardians and guides, it is our duty and responsibility to encourage students to live up to their own potential. The best way to enable them is to give them the right tools, confidence and direction. Einstein once said, “creativity is contagious, pass it on”.
Let us help them build the world, they want to build for themselves.
